ART WEST CURATES ART AND CULTURAL EXPERIENCES TO ELEVATE THE WESTSIDE OF CHICAGO & BEYOND

Our mission is to re-rebrand the Westside experience through arts and culture. The residents in our neighborhoods deserve cultural amenities, however, our communities have been oversaturated with empty lots, inadequate shopping corridors and desolate arts districts. 

Art West has committed to creating the cultural amenities we often have to travel outside of our neighborhoods for. We build connections within our creative community and we support local talent by offering opportunities to collaborate while strengthening our community out west through arts and culture! Our logo speaks to the bravery of our efforts to create a better black experience and a better perspective of what the Westside has to offer.

We support our creative community throughout the Westside of Chicago. We are responsible for developing the Art West Gallery Tour which explores our local galleries and highlights the rich history and culture of Austin, North Lawndale, East and West Garfield Park. Our reach will begin to include South Lawndale and additional Westside neighborhoods. We offer educational workshops, virtual festivals, and curated events.
